表示原因、理由的介词。 1.from 表示“外部”的原因 We are weak from lack of sleep.因为缺少睡眠。我们感到乏力。 His father died from the wound.他父亲因伤致死。 She felt sick from tiredness.她因疲劳而感到不舒服。 Wild animals can die from lack of food in a severe winter.野兽可能会死于饥饿，在这么寒冷 的冬天。

2.of 表示“内部原因” She died of AIDS.她死于艾滋病。 I afraid of being late .我怕迟到。 People are dying of cancer more and more often. 死于癌症的人越来越多了。 My grandmother died of grief soon after her husband's death.祖父去世不久, 祖母就因悲伤过度 而死了。

3.at 表示“情感”的原因。 He got angry at her words.他因她的话生气了。 We are much surprised at the new.听到这个消息我们感到很惊讶。 I was disappointed at his absence.他没来让我觉得很失望。
